Also, much like woke, they have no idea what a communist actually is.
Thing is Tubi also made Lowlifes, Takeout and Match. They can make good low budget stuff. They also make stuff like yhis and Terror Train.

04.11.2025 22:02 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Maybe I wasn't in the right mood, but this didbt do it for me. Felt like I was watching a Freeform teen drama until the last 20 minutes.

01.11.2025 09:43 — 👍 7 🔁 1 💬 1 📌 0Inhabitant and Night Tide were the worst. Glamping and Gates of Flesh were most frustrating bc there was something there, but script really hurt those two.
Can't wait to do it again next year.
Overall, a good #31DaysOfHalloween. 12 were truly great movies. 10 were good to ok while 9 were just bad to unwatchable.
Top 4 were Bring Her Back, ReAnimator, Weapons and Talk To Me.
Pleasantly surprised by Companion, Match, Takeout and Return of the Vampire.
Its the best holiday of the year.
Screw Thanksgiving, the winter holidays, 4th of July.
Arbor Day, youre alright.
But the best night of the year will always be #Halloween
By then, you dont really care and the twist doesn't land. It is an indictment on influencer culture, but also siding with it.
And all the Gen Z slang in this is just annoying to me.
Movie clearly isnt for me, a grumpy old millennial, but is this really what Gen Z finds scary?
#31DaysOfHalloween Day 31 Glamping (2025)
Ending on a whimper. When Tubi is good, when it isnt, it is boring.
Not badly made, but is more like a teen drama on Freeform. The horror kicks in the last 20 min, but you have to sit through an hour of banal drama with unlikeable characters.

Some of the most horrifying bits was how family can treat each other during a tragedy.
The ending of this got emotional, but was also uplifting.
First time reading Grady Hendrix and I thoroughly enjoyed this. He has a deft touch portraying Southern family dynamics around a funeral.
The supernatural element is done well, and the climax goes nuts.
All about loss, dealing with grief and moving on.

Fully agree. Enjoying both the deep, heavily themed artsy films next to a splatter film is why I enjoy the medium. One day, you csn watch an A24 film, the next a Tubi original Slasher and have a blast with both.

A 2⭐️ affair. Not much to write home about. A tad drab, but the makeup and set design is quite good.
Could honestly do for a remake.

Cary Christopher steals the movie as the sympathetic, smart Alex. Brolin was perfectly cast.
If I had to nitpick, the segments with the cop and addict could've been rolled into one, and I dont quite get the gun floating above the house.
Othet than that, Cregger is 2-for-2.
#31DaysOfHalloween Day 29 #Weapons (2025)
The horror bits in this absolutely hit. Dread and a pretty well done mystery build up to an ending I couldn't stop smiling and laughing. A very good 4⭐️ movie.

Im on the last 100 pages. The family drama in it is very well done. The horror part my work, it may not depending on the person.

The premise is good, cinematography has moments of brilliance but man a whole lot of nothing happens in this.

1.5⭐️ talk about a drab outing. Flat, boring story and they spell out the movie in the first minute with a text overlay. The definition of a skip this one.

#31DaysOfHalloween Day 26 Bring Her Back (2025)
Dude. This was amazing. Depressing, dark and gnarly. Sally Hawkins knocked this out the park and the ending...I'll be reflecting on that for a while. Movies like this are why I fucking love horror.

#31DaysOfHalloween Day 25 Night Tide (1961) How can Dennis Hopper say TCM2 was the worst film he was in when this exists. Just a whole lot of nothing in this 1⭐️ affair. Skip this one.
