Aragon undermines the notion that to be a strong warrior you must leave no room for anything else but brute strength and cold savagery. He is a direct counter to the whole "alpha male" argument and mindset.

I love the inclusion of Frodo and Sam, but Aragon is the go-to male role model as far as LotR goes for me. He's every bit the "warrior" type all these wannabe alpha males think is important, but he's also compassionate, open with showing love, a healer, humble, etc.
