The Celts Meet Celtic Fantasy
What would it look like for dominant-language fantasy to engage with the living cultures, contemporary politics, and modern histories of Celtic-language communities?
The Criticism Special closes out with a wonderful essay from @coimeas.bsky.social on the use of the Celtic in fantasy - but also, and more vitally, the use of fantasy in Celtic. It tackles a key problem - that "'The Celts' have become, for many people, a cultural phenomenon" more than a culture.
