Singin’ to an Empty Chair, by Ratboys 11 track album

Listening to the new album from Ratboys. It took me a couple of tracks to get into it, but it grew on me. The sound is melodic and loose indie pop rock.

I’ve done some more work on this animation. I still don’t quite know where it’s going, but it’s getting somewhere!

Some great titles here. Oneohtrix Point Never was a recent discovery for me, and Sarah Vaughn is an all-time favorite. There are a few you’ve got here that I want to check out. Thanks for sharing!

Now listening to new (officially first) album from Geologist. Part of his description of the album reads:
“a rippling songscape in which his hurdy gurdy gives and takes multiple forms, an epic electro-acoustic textile of many colors cut from the life and times of Brian Weitz”

I really like this aggressive, moody, experimental noise. I hadn’t heard of this band, but I’m into this new album.

My listening habits trend towards new stuff, but this album of Brazilian Indie Rock from 2005 is great.

Revolutions, by Daniel Bachman 4 track album

I really like this new album of ambient/drone/experimental music. The track titles work together as a poem, with the final line, “Blues For The Great Refreshing Earth Bodhisattva.”

I definitely plan to catch up with this one this week. It’s a great day to buy from Bandcamp! (This is a #BandcampFriday where the platform passes all revenue from album sales directly to artists.)

This is a great idea. It plugs into the same “slot machine” dopamine drip as scrolling anything else, but you’re getting a slightly-tailored feed of definitions, and concepts. Neat trick.
