Jake told himself he could get through the season, and now the season ended. Jake was still in his Goblin costume, the role he was perfect for. He wasn't perfect for much else, he wasn't a graduate, he wasn't a boyfriend or a lover. His parents passed years prior, he wasn't young enough for the life he lived or old enough for something else. Jake knew it was his last day, but played his part as well as he could. His small agile frame jumped out in front of customers, their screams genuine. The haunted house he worked at was outside of town, and the bus lines were scarce, but he made more in a season than he did at any other odd job through out the year.

#7wondersofthegalaxy Jake was pretty sure it was his last night on Earth.
