This is fantastic! My school is just starting to teach students about AI, but it’s more focused on evaluating the output. With permission, I’d like to refer to this during our #digcit lessons!

Absolutely! I took a break from chats & ARC sharing to become a mom, pursue my library degree, and finally have the career I’ve wanted for over a decade. It’s refreshing to know you’re all here & are ready to welcome #kidlitchat participants. I’m ready to be back!

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I’m an elementary teacher librarian rediscovering #kidlitchat on Bluesky. It’s been a while, but I’m so excited to get back into it on here. It already fills my book talk bucket seeing old & new names!

#BlueSkyTip Since BlueSky doesn’t use the sort of algorithms that X and Threads use, content is boosted by reposts, not by likes. If you enjoy something, sharing it is the best way to help others find it.

It's been fun seeing familiar faces pop up here this week!

If you're just arriving & are an author, illustrator, educator, or librarian, here's a list of like-minded folks to follow: docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

And here's how to add yourself to the list: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...

This is so helpful, thank you! You gave me a lot of ideas. We don’t have a dedicated area for makerspace, but I may be able to have maker Mondays since my schedule is more flexible that day. Feeling inspired!

12.11.2024 03:41 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

What a great set up!
1) Are there specific parts of the school day they can visit & make? It seems like we have such a tight schedule of instructional minutes, and it’s hard to find a time that isn’t their recess.
2) Do you have a dedicated room/area for a makerspace?

This is awesome, Lori! I’d love to get Maker Mondays started in our elementary library, but am struggling to plan how it works in a k-5 student’s school day. What tips do you have to get it started? #skybrarian
