AMIPA is a 501(c)3 non profit, with a mission to collect, preserve, catalog and provide public access to Alaska's sound recording and moving image heritage.
The award-winning story of George Attla, famed Alaska Native dog musher. Shot on location in Fairbanks, the film follows Attla from his life as a young trapper, to a TB diagnosis that meant years in distant sanitoriums. Returning home, he faces the challenges of a fused knee and cross cultural conflict, but goes on to become a champion sprint dog musher β the βHuslia Hustlerβ of Alaska legend.
