It's my bet that you aren't a gigantic a**hole like our "POTUS" and actually would care what at least a few people think. I think he and Musk ought to launch themselves into space since he has shown such interest in SpaceX and those of us who loathe him would get relief from his ugliness.

Yes, this is true. I tried to post a comment on the other site about why I believe Trump & his band of crazies may very well get us all killed, why the rampant science denial is a bad thing, and got censored for it. We need more Hotez and less Trump, to counter all the misinformation out there.

I'm far more concerned with what will become of America as a country than about "illegal migrants". The distaste of MAGAs for immigrants of any kind just shows more about their lack of character than anything else.

A sad but mostly true analogy. Any of the people who the Dems put out this cycle would've been a VAST improvement over Trump. Harris, Buttigieg, Klobuchar, even Biden 2.0. But too many people won't vote for a woman, a POC, an LGBTQ+ person, or anyone but straight, white men. That's GOT to change.

Because unfortunately there are a lot of cruel, stupid, and only worried about money kinds of people out there who don't care about a politician's character or morals. They only care that he hates who they hate. (And that he's rich and white and male.)

A couple of problems with this theory: 1, America is not a democracy, but a constitutional republic. 2, the majority did NOT choose Trump either time. The only way he won was because the Electoral College is a f*ed up relic.

This should NOT be about appearances, AT ALL. But what a lot of us find unattractive about Trump isn't his toupee or his red tie, but his really shitty attitude about a lot of different things. He tends to appeal to the worst in people and the worst of people.

Well, not really. But being inherently evil would make you more likely to. I still don't know what people see in him. I believe he should be in prison, NOT returning to the White House.

Indeed! I never liked the guy much, but when this happened, there went any chance in a million years that Trump would get my vote. I could tell lots of stories about how awful people can be when you have some kind of disability, so this incident really touched a nerve. Not my President!
