HOI4 is known for being popular with the political extremes, especially far right neo-Nazi types, and sometimes tankie Soviet superfans too. The game treats WW2 dictatorships neutrally and gives players a way to act out their fantasy of Hitler winning the war without being morally the "bad guy".

Rejection of AI is akin to environmentalists rejecting coal, vegans rejecting eggs, or readers rejecting JKR. In such cases, the moral argument is sound, but not everyone cares so deeply. Those using gen AI will have to make peace with ignoring morally robust criticism just as most of us do w/ meat.

Only if they consent. I think there is an aspect of exploitation in every context except for informed consent.
