I always struggle to find a balance between valuing my work and keeping it accessible to people. That is why from time to time I offer some of my successful smaller test vases for purchase. I really believe art is for everyone.

Happy Pride!
LGBTQ rights are human rights.
We have a lot of work to do to protect those rights, particularly for the trans community who are being attacked by our government.

Once or twice I've met what I would call an evangelical buddhist and they are just as controlling and hypocritical as evangelical christians. Fortunately there seems to be far fewer of them. Either your religion is about love and that includes LGBTQ people, or it's a cult of ego built on hate.

There is such a lack of integrity within the media. Where are those brave journalists, speaking out, daily, about the utter corruption? So many cowards. Everywhere. Conforming. Bending the knee. All for a dollar.

Once a slum lord, always a slum lord. No one should be surprised he evicted the beloved residents of Sesame Street from their home and your lives. Everyone knows his self declared fondness for stupid voters.

What a beautiful bright sunny day! It was perfect to see the detail on the magnificent Muiredachโ€™s Cross at Monasterboice.

The cross is the finest example in the country (in my subjective opinion!). A masterpiece of 10th century Irish art.

My photo shows an insect usually referred to as a grasshopper, engraved on a fragment of bone during the Magdalenian period of the Upper Paleolithic. It is drawn in a naturalistic style, shown in profile facing right, with two pairs of front legs and antennae. It was discovered c. 1928 in the cave habitat of the Grotte d'Enlรจne, in the foothills of the French Pyrenees.

Jiminy Cricket!

Itโ€™s an #IceAge grasshopper!

The so-called โ€˜Grasshopper of Enlรจneโ€™, engraved on bone some 17,000 - 14,000 years ago, is the most detailed representation of an insect in Paleolithic art known to date. From the Enlรจne Cave, Ariรจge, France. Magdalenian period.

The Trondheim Sun Chariot is dated to the Early Bronze Age, approximately 1400 BC. The spiral decorations on its golden sun disc indicates its Nordic origin. The Sun Chariot represents the sun's eternal journey, drawn by a divine horse. The sun and horse....๐Ÿงต1/2

A beautiful #Roman glass bowl, made of cobalt-blue glass with white marbled decoration. It was made about 2000 years ago, probably in Italy, & was subsequently exported to Britannia, ending up in a C1st AD burial #Archaeology #RomanArchaeology AncientBlueSky

My photo collage shows four cylindrical Minoan cups each with a single handle and each decorated with a different polychrome motif, including white spirals, white whorls, white petals, red spots, orange spots, orange bands, and white bands, all painted on a black background. This type of ornamental Minoan pottery is known as Kamares Ware, named after the Kamares Cave on Mount Ida on Crete where this kind of pottery was first found. Kamares Ware vessels were luxury items produced by palace workshops at Phaistos and Knossos on Crete. These four cups were excavated at Phaistos and dated 1800-1700 BC.

Sipping my coffee โ˜•๏ธ thinking about these marvellous Minoan cups!

So modern-looking itโ€™s incredible to think they were made by Bronze Age potters 3,800 years ago!
