🗓️ The Renters' Rights Bill will be back in the House of Lords on 14 October.
Lord Young of Cookham has again tabled an amendment to protect shared owners who are accidental landlords because of the building safety crisis.
This is what the Minister said in Parliament last month.

"It will be fixed, but it’ll be over a long period of time. They told us recently that we’re looking at a horizon of about three years…So we’re looking at 2028 at the very earliest.”

But the reality of the state of the economy and the size of the mess he has inherited will soon dawn on him. In the coming weeks, he is likely to meet with leaseholders whose lives have been turned upside down by the building crisis, as well as survivors of the Grenfell Tower fire. When he attends these meetings, he would be well advised to leave his new baseball cap at home

Lenders demand impossible guarantees from freeholders who ignore all requests, leaving us financially trapped despite government claims that remortgaging is "now possible."
The fire consultants who got the height of the building wrong refuse to amend their report, so we need a NEW fire engineer, NEW strategy, and NEW delays.
Every month of this farce costs us and our neighbours £19k+ in insurance alone. Six years in, and they can't even measure a building correctly.
