i want to find the place that will accept me however i can be, that celebrates strangeness and perspectives not their own, and embraces the few who wander into it, and show them with patience and understanding that after all there is a world for us all. if it even touches one person

for some, and still equally valid, that other flow is the ideal, but i was never going to fall into whatever was laid out for me. i will resist expectation and continue to be myself, reject every norm and find the place where i can truly be myself, not the place that will accept me as i am now.

best thing i ever did regarding transition was confront the things that made me want to bend and alter my trajectory. i felt immediately the way i was diverging from an expected path, and also the way societal expectations are designed to funnel you back into a somewhat regular flow. 🧵
