I'm not great at webcomics, I'm getting better and I can see my progress. I'm also a roller derby player, and I was like a bambi on skates at first.
Point is, it's courageous to start something and it's even more so when you stick to it and lean into the suck.
Make comics. Actually make them and FINISH them and MOVE ON and make another one and another. Start small. Make a one panel comic. Make a one page comic. Make a two or three page comic. Make a five page comic. Now you've really learned something! Keep going.

But you're right, its a cowardly dogwhistle to mask hate.
So, this banning trans women in sports to "protect women." It's weird and not true.
I'm a cis woman. I play roller derby with and against nonbianary, trans women, and cis men. I love it.
So, it's easy for me to say, these people are not protecting women, they're just being cruel.
It's nice, feels like the early days of Twitter but with beefier features. I missed the versatility of sharing only words in addition to images and video.
