31.10.2025 16:34 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Update to my book graphic, with Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle taking up the episode 2.1 spot.
2.1 There's a box in my mind
(A book about trauma or secrets)
Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle. Appropriately themed for spooky season, a solid horror novel where a gay conversion camp is literally diabolical.

I mean a wing of the Louvre could be filled with all your art, but I'm sure it would be fun to include all the other folks ;)
25.10.2025 22:15 β π 7 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0The episode graph again, with The Cartographers by Peng Shepherd taking up the episode 2.8 spot.
2.8 It's about belonging to something
(A book featuring a found family)
The Cartographers by Peng Shepherd. I liked it, was a neat mystery, but I kept feeling like something was missing from it. Not sure what exactly was missing, but I was waiting for something more.

"I need to know who he is. I have a name, but that's all. Do you have an address for him? A phone number? I need a way to contact him." Buttons doesn't answer at first. Just folds his gnarled hands over his belly and smiles with something like reverence. "Calypso provides," he says. Stede frowns. "That's not β" He stops, mid-sentence, because Buttons's gaze has shifted. Over Stede's shoulder. Toward the chapel entrance. He turns. And there, framed by the doorway, stands someone very familiar. His salt-and-pepper hair falls loose around his shoulders, catching the dim light in restless strands. A thick, flowing beard streaked with silver frames his face. He moves with an easy, deliberate grace, as if he owns the space without needing to claim it. He's wearing faded black jeans and a simple, threadbare black tee, topped with a black leather jacket missing one sleeve, leaving his arm bare and covered in swirling tattoos that ripple like dark waves. Tattoos that Stede would know anywhere. Blackbeard steps forward, voice low and warm as aged rum. "The new Mr. Teach, I presume?"

2.6 A guilt room
(A book with gold on the cover)
The Princess Bride by William Goldman. This is my favorite book in all the world. The illustrations in this edition make it even better.
If you love the movie (it's also my favorite movie), the book beats it by a mile.

1.3 Itβs juice, from the nose jar
(A book with a face on the cover)
The Spirit Bares Its Teeth by Andrew Joseph White. Didn't expect to love it as much a I did. Never have been much for horror, but this was wonderful. The trans & neurodivergent mc was fantastic.

An image showing four sticker designs featuring Ed and Stede from Our Flag Means Death: a sticker sheet of them dancing, Ed and Stede in robes and giggling, Stede wearing a beautiful blue and grey suit, Ed putting on mascara while sitting on top of the Revenge's headless figurehead.
A little run of reprinted Sparkly Dancing Boyfriends and Kraken Era is here! I also have two new matte designs up for grabs! Thank you so much for scooping these up and supporting my art. It's such a big help for me! 𧑠π΄ββ οΈ

Today I learned there is a queer bookstore next door to my favorite yarn store, and I think the universe is looking out for my bank account by making these (1) an hour away from me, and (2) rarely both open at the same times I am able to visit them.
13.10.2025 16:12 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Chart continues, with episode 1.6 filled in with On A Pale Horse by Piers Anthony. The book cover is yellow and features the skeleton of Death driving a white car.
1.6 It was an elderly gentleman with a hook...for a head!
(A book featuring legends or mythology)
On A Pale Horse by Piers Anthony. Good book when you look past the misogyny. Thankfully, the main character of Death was likable and made me want to keep reading.

Episode 1.1 has been added to the graphic, Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinneman.
1.1 What weβre about to do will be perilous
(The first book in a series)
Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman. My first foray into LitRPG, and I'm not sure about it. It was fun, but the middle was roo much exposition for me. Maybe it's just me though.

A brief interlude because I wanted to stack all the books I'm reading for the #OFMDReadingChallenge.
This stack is stacked!
Added the cover of Lolly Willowes to episode 1.7. The cover is orange with dark leaf patterns on it.
1.7 My teeth keep falling out, is that normal?
(A book with an orange cover)
Lolly Willowes by Sylvia Townsend Warner, because whomst among us has not wanted to run away to the woods and become a witch? An early piece of feminist literature that made me feel all toasty inside.
The OFMD Reading Challenge progress. Black book with a skull on the cover for each unfinished Challenge. New book is episode 2.2, Running Close to the Wind by Alexandra Rowland, a teal book cover woth silhouettes for three people, an octopus, and tentacles.
2.2 We're tender as hell
(A book featuring queer characters)
Running Close to the Wind by Alexandra Rowland. The main character could have been annoying, but it's so superbly written that he's completely lovable. Very fun book!
