Also cakes from Three Little Birds bakery and discovered @misslollipop.bsky.social which is a wonderful independent bookshop where I picked up these gems.
I haven't read it but love the description!

Currently in the interval for this event. It's been fantastic so far, like a live audiobook. Superbly performed by @gavcross.bsky.social

When I was a child I LOVED the Tubby Tin books, I drove my parents mad always asking that they read them to me.
They're super rare but I got one and my kids fell in love with it. They've been asking for another so I managed to get this. So nice to share what I loved!

I really hope there will still be readers. I'm glad to have seen loads of kids still loving reading so fingers crossed ๐ค
03.06.2025 11:40 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0They look great! I used to read Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus to mine when they were younger and that always got a lot of laughs.

02.06.2025 17:37 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Mine have stories read by me (or Mrs R), they also have time to read to themselves in bed, then an audiobook (on CD, I'm a bit behind the times on tech) to drift off at lights out time.
02.06.2025 17:36 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This is so sad. Reading to children is such a joy and so important to them.
I've loved it since the early days of picture books and also discovered great books I've enjoyed - particular highlights being Hedgewitch, Mr Gum, Looshkin and the Loki books!
