Great visit to Keighley today, saw the fantastic Colorsphere at the Beacon as part of @bradford2025.co.uk
Also cakes from Three Little Birds bakery and discovered @misslollipop.bsky.social which is a wonderful independent bookshop where I picked up these gems.

Thanks, I'll have to check that out! I've seen a few of his films (Son of the Bride, XXY, The Secret in Their Eyes) and always enjoyed his performances.

Nine Queens review โ€“ Fabiรกn Bielinskyโ€™s brilliant grifter classic offers masterclass in double dealing The late Argentinian director served up this tale of squalid fraud 25 years ago, but its questions about greed, cynicism and the human condition remain evergreen

This is such a great film. I caught it first time around and would definitely recommend if you get chance to see it.

Yes, we tried but everything was sold out! Little one was disappointed and upset but I helped him to calm down by playing a game where we replaced a word in a book title with 'bum'...

When I was a child I LOVED the Tubby Tin books, I drove my parents mad always asking that they read them to me.
They're super rare but I got one and my kids fell in love with it. They've been asking for another so I managed to get this. So nice to share what I loved!

Mine have stories read by me (or Mrs R), they also have time to read to themselves in bed, then an audiobook (on CD, I'm a bit behind the times on tech) to drift off at lights out time.

โ€˜Itโ€™s so boringโ€™: Gen Z parents donโ€™t like reading to their kids - and educators are worried Screen time has increasingly replaced story time, and experts warn this could lead to children falling behind

This is so sad. Reading to children is such a joy and so important to them.
I've loved it since the early days of picture books and also discovered great books I've enjoyed - particular highlights being Hedgewitch, Mr Gum, Looshkin and the Loki books!
