A phylogeny of the 7 ape genomes that have now been completed from "T2T", with Homer Simpson representing mankind.

A project five years in the making, we've now published complete "T2T" genomes for six additional ape species! It turns out that finishing (and analyzing) six genomes is slightly more work than one... doi.org/10.1038/s415...

Our primate T2T paper came out in Nature yesterday! It was a huge effort and I'm so grateful that I got the opportunity to work with this amazing group of scientists over the first two years of my PhD!

When I started working on our social media strategy, I knew it wasn't enough to just post facts about genomics research. We wanted to build a relationship with our followers! I learned that you can be incredibly weird on social and still have an important message that people will remember.
