It really, really, REALLY bothers me that so many Trek fans hear "Infinite Diversity through Infinite Combinations" and go "Yeah that's normal!" and then see a different show and start screeching at the top of their lungs that it isn't the same as other Treks.

I think that I'm going to wait for the release of the show to make a personal opinion, decide if its for me or not, and then not mock/deride a show to make the fans of that show feel unwelcome in the Trek fandom and leave like has happened since to every Trek since DS9.
