Took my daughter’s car in to be serviced and MOTd this morning. Had to apologise for the appalling stench of sweet smelling air fresheners. It’s like driving a packet of bubblegum.

I used to loathe this time of year when I was younger. All the ‘back to school’ stuff in the shops reminding me that despite my resolutions and good intentions, another year of disorganised miserable underachievement was just around the corner.
