Today I realized Billy Dee Williams's name is William Williams. Then I went and looked it up, and it turns out his full name is William December Williams Jr.

It's about time test screening audiences got the credit they deserve!

I've noticed a strange trend lately of directors somehow negotiating to share the "edited by" with their actual editor. What's next, a shared "costume design" credit?

Hard to believe California Adventure is 25 years old. I was lucky enough to see it a couple weeks before it officially opened. So much has changed since then, as you can see from this panorama I took back when they started building World of Color.

Watched the new Muppet Show and I ended up doing the Leo pointing at the TV meme when I recognized Griffin Newman in the audience.

I decided to listen to the commentary for The Martian tonight, and Ridley Scott's side of the track is so echoey. It sounds like he recorded it in a bathroom.

Thankfully about half of the commentary was that. The remaining percentage was some nice praise for various people who worked on the film, but not particularly enlightening to the audience.

Tonight I watched a director's commentary for a fairly big film from the early 2010s, by a relatively big name director. I'd say about 20-30% of the commentary was the director just describing what was on screen, as if it was the descriptive audio track.

Rewatching "Avatar: The Way of Water" and it got me wondering. There's got to be a list of movie sequels that contain footage from the previous film as a diegetic element. Not a flashback, but something where characters are watching footage on a screen.
