Imagine paying for Netflix every month, then paying when you watch the movie, and then getting another bill three months later because one of the actors isn’t signed with Netflix so you have to pay him directly.

אגב, לא בכל מקצוע זה מתאפשר. כל הפרופסוריות מן המניין אני מכירה יש להן בעל שאינו עובד במשרה מלאה.

כן. גם הוא עובד מהבית כמוני וגם הוא לוקח את הילדים לרופא כשאחד מהם חולה וכולי.

החלק השני הוא חוסר ההכרות שלה עם המערכת וההליכה אחרי העדר. אני פה יותר מ20 שנה ולכן אני יודעת איך להתנהל בצורה שתאפשר לי לעבוד במשרה מלאה עם 4 ילדים. היא עוד לא מאוקלמת.

אוקי, הצלחתי לקרוא את הטור שלה ונראה לי שכולכם לא מפרשים נכון את השימוש במילה ליברליזם. היא מדברת על כך שארה"ב לא בנויה מבחינת תשתיות לניהול נוח של משק בית בלי הורה אחד שמוותר על הקריירה שלו. היא צודקת באופן חלקי. יש הרבה יותר עקרות בית פה מאשר בישראל.

אין ציפייה כזו. אפשר לשלוח את הילדים לצהרון כפי שאני והרבה הורים אחרים עושים.

הרבה עקרות בית בעיקר נעמדות בתור לאיסוף 40 דקות לפני שבית הספר משחרר כדי שהן תהיינה ראשונות בתור. אפשר גם להגיע בזמן ולחכות בתור 10 דקות או לחלופין לחנות מעבר לכביש ולאסוף את הילד ברגל. אבל יש תחושה שהכותבת של הכתבה נוטה ללכת אחרי העדר.

אני חייבת להיות not all men לשניה אבל יש לי 4 ילדים בארה"ב ולא נתקלתי בקושי גדול מדי. בעיקר אני מתוסכלת מההערות בציבור על איך אני אמיצה שאני מעזה לצאת מהבית. Back to school night זה ממש לא בעיה כי יש הפרש גילאים בין הילדים. מיניוואן יש לכולם פה גם אם יש להם 2 ילדים.
