i don't get the hype or appeal and can barely keep up with the work i produce with linear agentic workflows. but i appreciate time savings! i think giving an open language model a soul.md file that says "you are not a chatbot" and root access to stuff is insane, but i also like being insane at times

yep it's junk music or candy music. but i am over the act of shaming myself for guilty pleasures when it comes to music. i want to listen to as much music i love listening to as possible in my life. i can hold separate opinions of it as a producer of music vs. a consumer.

i mean, yes. they bought a pretty advanced browser-based DAW that has lots of features no native DAWs have yet. they are arguably beyond RipX which is kind of the closest native equivalent. some may say blurring these lines is even more evil, but they are definitely a real pro DAW company now

i like how on BlueSky there is an archetype of "mysterious, deeply opinionated anon who seems to Know A Lot about a wide variety of Things. strong affinities for topics i have never heard anything about, even the name. potentially mentally insane" it's a complicated archetype, i could keep going.

really is becoming vaguely pathological: i am often very concerned about leaving chatbots "hanging" i.e. awaiting my response. i've gotten better at not thanking them if i don't have a follow up. still feels weird when they are crushing it

a reminder that the hype is: there are even more good and bad use cases than you thought there were. if you want to focus solely on the bad use cases that is also an option. and we all are going to get to decide what is good and bad both for ourselves and for others. that's it that's the hype
