Last year after the election, I reflected: "When we fight, we win—but sometimes the fight takes awhile."

Last night, we saw Democratic victories across our nation. I am so proud of these enthusiastic, principled, inspirational leaders who will continue to fight for our nation, ideals, and progress.

In the 10 months that I’ve been unemployed I’ve made:

What worries me is that once this storm no longer dominates headlines, funding needed for rebuilding will no longer be at the forefront. I’m not being cynical, since I’m still writing stories about our Caribbean colony, Puerto Rico, which has not recovered from 2017’s Hurricane Maria.
