The cooking in Metaphor is a godsend cause it gives you insane items!! I ignored them the whole game up till the end and it's a literal game changer
There's nothing more satisfying than defeating the dragons with the original team of Strohl, Hulk and Heismay

That one Atlus boss you spend so much time fighting you have to stand up and walk a bit after you're done (just finished the 4th dragon trial in Metaphor 😮‍💨)

Also the two Black and Asian background characters who got a few mins of screentime but no lines or acknowledgment from other characters and then disappeared was weirdo moment 🤨

Her being more resourceful and a better survivalist is also huge, I can't stand the poor horror girls just flailing around screaming cause the writer didn't know how to make their eventual demise more interesting

Texas Chainsaw Massacre was the worst example of this!

I mean, the psychology is really simple by today's standards lol but for the 80s I think it's impressive, it's funny how two men shut her down really fast though much like it would happen today

By the time the action really starts it's already the end of the film, but I still liked this tons more than part 1
They added some psychology here and the final girl was a much better fighter than the previous one & at least kicked Jason in the nuts!

The OP's short note for the film: The super earthquake disaster making the ground fold in on itself a la Inception was interesting, but I feel the film was very simple with the topics it portrayed *shrug* It didn't go that far from Emergency Declaration for me in this regard. The image of LBH bleeding from the head with his bloody face and eye will stay with me forever, though! Give the man any kind of crazy and he will devour the role every single time. I also loved seeing Park Bo-young here! I watched a bit of Daily Dose of Sunshine so it was a nice surprise to see her in this film, also as a nurse, but in a more serious role. <3

The OP's 1.5 stars review of the film: "Pretty much everything you'd expect going in to watch a Silent Hill movie adaptation. It kept me up at night so I started writing a full-length review but gave up halfway; I'd rather use the time to improve writing about stuff I actually liked, than spend it on a film where everything was just bad and clunky and there's nothing else to say about it. They also decided it was a good idea to decimate the viewers, watching this in fully dark rooms, with random flashbangs and strobe lights. So be careful watching this if you're sensitive to light, cause there are three separate, lengthy scenes with strobing lights throughout the film. All of this is even crazier if you see that the director here and for the first SH film is the same, and the first film although still goofy and American wasn't that bad at all."

The film had a very slow start and was a drag sometimes, but I loved the last 1/3 of it :D
As a fan of sea exploration, cosmic horror and men covered in blood I was satisfied, lol!
