Not sure how to think about this. Obviously Trump’s war on learning is despicable. But to pretend Harvard is poverty stricken is also ridiculous. They have more money than most countries. To use this crisis to milk donors for more money is wrong. There are colleges in real trouble. Harvard is fine!

"I was married, but I’m not married anymore. Women don't like the vehicle," says Roger Davis, a Cybertruck owner.

Davis also uses the Grok feature in the car: "Her name is Aura, and I use her as a therapist."

Then there's Russ Taylor. "It's just a vehicle. So it's ironic that it would even become a political statement."

(Editor's note: Taylor was plead guilty to conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding in the January 6 attack. He was later pardoned by Trump.)

Fishing boats with tall square sails in still water. It is evening and the sky is red and orange as the sun sets. The light reflects on the water. Tiny lights can be seen dotting the far shore on the horizon. The closest boat has an open hatch and it looks like someone is cooking inside.

Artifact Spotlight: Kitty Brick (U.S. National Park Service)

One of my favorite artifacts ever - a Roman brick with a cat pawprint used as ships ballast in an HBC ship from London to Vancouver WA in the 1820s, then used to build a factor's house with Hawaiian coral.

Top admiral steps down abruptly amid drug boat strikes Adm. Alvin Holsey oversees Southern Command, where US military strikes against alleged Venezuelan drug traffickers at sea have ramped up.

This is what a top US military officer objecting to illegal orders looks like.

Adm. Alvin Holey is the head of Southern Command, which covers the Caribbean, where Trump has ordered 5 deadly strikes on civilian boats (and counting).

Has integrity, plus he’s Black, so Hegseth presumably welcomed it.

Advice | 10 Ways AI Is Ruining Your Students’ Writing And how to help them see that AI cannot craft good essays.

“Students continue to believe that brainstorming with AI helps them get to good arguments, but I have not seen any proof of that.”

Industry reps tell students (accurately) that they won’t get jobs if they don’t use AI, and no amount of critical thinking instruction will change that. It’s maddening.

Admiral Alvin Holsey, the head of U.S. Southern Command, is leaving his job after less than a year — a surprising departure as President Trump shows interest in extending his administration’s campaign of violence against drug cartels in the region.

There is no place for partisan political videos from the govt being blasted in airports attacking the opposition party. That is what authoritarian regimes do. This should not be a partisan issue - it is fundamentally un-American.
