If you don't like Māori stuff maybe you're in the wrong country?

This created the conditions for the rise of the far right. But, that's another story (it's where we're heading) . (Ends)

I know it's a real cliché but I still think Karl Marx is one of the most important theorists to read if you want to understand capital's obsession with generative AI. This is from pg 692-93 of the Grundrisse.

Post from "The Rundown" July 18 at 5:30 PM · DuckDuckGo has introduced a new feature allowing users to filter out AI-generated images from search results, addressing growing concerns over synthetic content overwhelming authentic visuals online. The filter can be activated through a dropdown in the Images tab, search settings, or by using a dedicated AI-free domain: noai.duckduckgo.com. The system relies on curated blocklists, including uBlockOrigin’s Huge AI Blocklist, to detect and suppress AI-generated imagery. While not perfect, it significantly reduces synthetic content visibility. This move sets DuckDuckGo apart from competitors like Google and Bing by giving users direct control over their exposure to AI-generated material. Source: TechCrunch

Calling all InternetNZ members - the AGM is on 31 July and there are more than a dozen member-proposed motions that all need to be voted on.
I strongly urge you all to join the call and vote.
Politics can be complex, but every so often it’s pretty easy to tell which side of history you’re on. For example, if you require the police to arrest elderly ladies for peacefully protesting against genocide, that’ll probably be the wrong side.

What Bishop, Goldsmith, & Seymour et al fail to understand is that this outpouring & solidarity is neither performative nor overtly political. Rather, it represents a grassroots response from Pākehā & Māori alike who reject their racism, capitalism, & naked attempts to exploit our land & our people.
