"The Trump administration is the alliance of right-wing authoritarians with big money. That alliance needs to be broken. Part of how we do that is to break the alliance of big money with the Democratic Party, so that we have a pro-worker, anti-billionaire party," says @repcasar.bsky.social.

I just spoke to NYC Comptroller Brad Lander as he left police custody following his arrest at immigration court. Here’s what he said:

and I think we can draw some pretty strong conclusions from the social behaviors, political attitudes, and mythologies of the south and determine, yeah, people who fly the confederate flag and worship robert lee and deny slavery was bad and support modern segregation are bad people.

The Republicans are alphas but also live in perpetual fear of stepping foot outside.

By the way, Charlie’s bio says he lives in Arizona, which has higher violent crime per capita than New York.

republicans operate according to a moral economy where wealthy oligarchs and polluters deserve the collected prosperity of the nation because of their wealth. the job of the rest of us is to toil for their benefit.

Wow so you’re telling me everyone who cheered on the Iraq war is on board with this now too? And so are the people who opposed the Iran nuclear deal and killed it?

You’re kidding.

The thing about the Khalil case is that it's very very good that he's free now but you can't have it take three months between "the government kidnaps you off the street for no basis reason whatsoever" and "a judge makes them let you go." You just can't.

What’s so aggravating thing about establishment Dems backing Cuomo is that Cuomo is a bad partisan. He let Republicans gerrymander the State Senate.

Setting policy aside (which you shouldn’t), that itself should be a dealbreaker.

The mayor of New York is uniquely positioned to play an important role in the future of the national Democratic Party," Mr. Clyburn said in a statement, adding that Mr. Cuomo had the "experiences, credentials and character to not just serve New York, but also help save the nation."

That Clyburn thinks Andrew Cuomo is part of the future of the Democratic Party - and points to his character!!! β€” is the problem with the current Democratic Party leadership in a nutshell.

It is 100% carrying water for the opposition to participate in this collective delusion that Dems for some reason need to answer for every teen who throws a rock rather than hold the Trump admin accountable for intentionally creating chaos and breaking the law to stoke violence.

They are in charge.

Should Democrats take money from someone whose factory violated the Clean Air Act for 12 of the last 12 quarters? Should they welcome someone who operated a racist workplace? Who violated NLRB rules? Who committed securities fraud? Who lied to get a government loan? Who ripped off green subsidies?

The Court of International Trade panel that unanimously struck down Trump's "Liberation Day" and other IEEPA tariffs included a Reagan, Obama, and Trump appointee. Credit to all for defending the rule of law. Perhaps Congress could come out of hiding and do its part to help in this good cause?

Rep. Laurel Libby, R-Auburn, recently used my second-place finish in the 1,600-meter run, and that of my teammate in the 800-meter run, to malign Soren Stark-Chessa, the trans-identified athlete who finished first.

One of the reasons I chose to run cross-country and track is the community: Teammates cheering each other on, athletes from different schools coming together, and the fact that personal improvement is valued as much as, if not more than, the place we finish.

Last Friday, I ran the fastest 1,600-meter race I have ever run in middle school or high school track and earned varsity status by my school’s standards. I am extremely proud of the effort I put into the race and the time that I achieved. The fact that someone else finished in front of me didn’t diminish the happiness I felt after finishing that race. I don’t feel like first place was taken from me. Instead, I feel like a happy day was turned ugly by a bully who is using children to make political points.

We are all just kids trying to make our way through high school. Participating in sports is the highlight of high school for some kids. No one was harmed by Soren’s participation in the girls’ track meet, but we are all harmed by the hateful rhetoric of bullies, like Rep. Libby, who want to take sports away from some kids just because of who they are.

Q: "How do you respond to Governor Newsom?"

Sen. Van Hollen: "I think Americans are tired of elected officials or politicians who are all finger to the wind...Anybody who can't stand up for the Constitution and the right of due process doesn't deserve to lead."

It is time for Trump to put up or shut up in Court.

A FEDERAL JUDGE said β€œno evidence before the court connects Abrego Garcia to MS-13 or any criminal organization.” No one is vouching for one man. We are standing up for EVERYONE’s right to due process under the Constitution.
