In the UK we have Police Commissioner elections. Sometimes the turnout has been as low as 13%. but guess what... those with the most votes still got elected and still got to make decisions that affected our lives. Not voting is a huge exercise in privilege.

I love my new (what I've christened) 'space shoes'. They make me feel like I'm hanging out on the Millennium Falcon rather than a commuter train home.

A noble sentiment, but as one who is a sucker for expensive clothes I've found that almost without fail the clothes/shoes I've spent a lot of money on fall apart in months, whereas stuff from chain stores lasts years. Wonder if anyone else has noticed this?

Like people not wanting to bring kids into this world. The very people you really want to do this to help humanity grow (sensitive, educated, caring people), are the ones that won't on principle. Thus leaving us at the mercy of ever-multiplying thick twats and billionaires.
