I’m teetering today. Somewhere between hope and darkness, in the gray area I dread so. I’m literally praying to whatever will listen that we will work through this. She’s so important to me, I can’t lose her. I’ve never felt this way. Never felt so strongly that this is where I’m supposed to be.

I know I can be stronger, be better, I can grow and change and become something more. I know I have come so fucking far from who I was, and I’m so fucking proud of that. But my deep seated fear of failure persists. But tomorrow is a new day. A day to do better, be better. Forward is the only way.

But I’m also constantly scared. Of myself, of who I was and my shadow self. The dark corners of my psyche, and the rough edges and abrasive aspects of my character. Of the demons I fight and the wreckage they leave behind. Of being alone, scorned by those I love because of my own foolishness.

She’s the most beautiful, incredible, intelligent, terrifying human I’ve ever met. When I’m with her I feel complete. I feel like I’m home. Like I’ve found something I didn’t know I lost. I’m so frustratingly terrible at feelings things, at processing those feelings, I always seem to fumble.

I can’t seem to get her out of my head. I can’t seem to want to. My heart aches when I’m not with her and stops at the thought of hurting her. My natural ability to fuck things up haunts me, and I’m terrified of failing her, of failing myself and this best version of me I’m desperate to become

Why does this woman have such a death grip on me? Why would I rip myself apart and sew myself back together for her? Her words hold such immense sway over my heart and mind I can barely breathe. I’m so in love with her nothing else seems to matter. Maybe nothing else does.
