I wish I could answer your question, but I'm afraid I can't, since I moved out of that field! In C4DM I had colleagues working on some of these things, specifically putting tech-driven interactivity together with these media format standards...

This sounds amazingly similar to the promises made for media formats such as SMIL more than 15 years ago. Just as back then: does anyone really want a personalised playback experience? (etc) I'm doubtful...

The biggest lesson from ecology: rapid changes can wreak havoc. Ecosystems' components evolved to a certain "assumption" of the timescales of change, and can handle those. Invasive species & human disturbance often have much faster timescales. Thus: don't throw free ChatGPT at an unprepared society!
