07.08.2025 21:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Maybe allowing the majority of online commerce to be mediated via other profit-driven corporations was a bad move.
02.08.2025 17:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The Special Edition has been the default version of Star Wars for 30 years.
01.08.2025 18:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0ST Enterprise had a fantastic finale. It's just weird they had an episode after it.
26.07.2025 22:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Colossus the Forbin Project was one of my favorite movies as a kid, even though it was kind of goofy. Here in 2025, it became oddly Torment Nexus-y.
25.07.2025 03:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The downfall of the First Estate was generally a good thing, but sometimes we could really use the credible threat of excommunication.
18.07.2025 00:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Me: Hm, tough times for the game industry. I wonder how tabletop is doing.
Ah, existential dread.
Sure it's been 25 years since Deus Ex. But's it's also been 8 years & 10 months since Mankind Divided, making this the longest gap without a DX game.

22.06.2025 04:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I love 5e. It's a shame about 5e.

15.06.2025 14:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As someone who spent years only experiencing E3 as the cause of months of crunch to produce disposable dog & pony show builds, I can't say I'm super nostalgic for it.

08.06.2025 22:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Star Wars is the story of Nien Nunb, cursed to forever watch others die.
03.06.2025 18:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iron Maiden's Brave New World--you know, the big re-union album when Dickinson came back as frontman--came out 25 years ago today.

29.05.2025 15:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ah, the old "wear a dead guy's face" gag.
23.05.2025 20:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Going from Andor to Rogue One is like being told Band of Brothers is a prequel series to Kelly's Heroes.
17.05.2025 18:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0LinkedIn is a silly place.
16.05.2025 18:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Taken in story order, the Star Wars trilogies have a hilarious time crunch as things progress.
Prequel Trilogy: 13 years between TPM and ROTS
Original Trilogy: 4 years between SW and ROTJ
Sequel Trilogy: The rise and fall of the First Order takes place over a particularly hectic Labor Day weekend.
It feels like Gilroy's Andor properly ended with "Welcome to the Rebellion". Everything after is coda to the show's main interests.
14.05.2025 18:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0S2 of Andor is still "only" the second best season of Star Wars TV. And the final half of the Gorman arc is Andor going at its hardest. Structurally I'm tempted to call "Welcome to the Rebellion" the end of Andor proper, with the final 3 episodes acting as a epilogue/coda to wrap up loose threads.
14.05.2025 18:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Andor s2 is so good. As a whole maybe not quite as unfiromally great as s1, but it clearly has more masters to serve, chained to both studio notes and to fulfilling the promise that this parade of human tragedy meshes seemlessly into the Rogue One romp.
14.05.2025 18:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Another random Andor thought: Love that Andor's blaster is part of a collapsable rifle system. A great little nod someone in production made to the old Dark Forces lore, where Katarn's bryary pistol was a sawed-off rifle.
13.05.2025 01:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I love the design of the original Enterprise.
What do future space ships look like?
Staple a flying saucer to a Buck Rodgers rocket with a satelite dish on the front, and the whole thing is propelled by two Apollo rockets with mood lighting instead of nose cones.
