Devotional Hinduism is grounded in the supernatural. Personally cannot fathom that at all but for large parts of India, it's a central part of their lives.

My lot, Hindus, developed in the Indus Valley way back. No single root and its a hodge podge of superstition, ritual and huge differences between regions. For me it works best as an intellectual philosophy rather than worship of idols and devotion.
