How the sea ice looked like end of melting season 2024 - the thinner it gets the more sunlight passes though the ice warming the ocean below - its a non-linear feedback. This combined with heatwaves, and stronger Arctic cyclones hitting thinner sea ice in a row during summer and it can be fast gone. Also another critical model error if this would happen...
