The Age of AI Report - July 2025 | Verasight Survey Report

I’ve been working with @verasight.bsky.social on various AI projects (including this and some other experiments, results TBD) and here’s a standout quote:

"Fully one-quarter of executives told us they thought AI systems could replace all or most of their jobs"

Two pertinent graphs from me tonight...

First, U.S. support for bombing Iran is very low β€” much lower than support was at the time for the American military attacking Afghanistan, Iraq, and ISIS.

The "Abundance Agenda" is broadly popular, per our new June Strength In Numbers/ @verasight.bsky.social poll.

The exception is for local zoning reforms.

Here’s our alternative to the other pretty obviously biased polls floating around on the subject: www.gelliottmorris.com/p/trump-appr...

One huge upside of our independent poll with @verasight.bsky.social : Not having to publish in peer-reviewed journals or sell party strategy means we can publish null effects!

We tested economics and immigration messaging. Fx are too small to pick up.

New poll: Trump and deportations unpopular with voters, Dems up 8 in House vote More: 60% see ethics/corruption problems in Trump administration, and the "Abundance Agenda" is popular (except zoning reform)

Some of the best, most creative public polling in America is coming from @gelliottmorris.com's substack. Everyone should be asking more open ends like this one.

This is a call to subscribe, and also to every other public pollster to up their game.

The great Upper Midwest standoff: Nation thinks Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa are all 'equally good' A national survey finally addresses the age-old question: β€œWhich state is better? Minnesota, Wisconsin or Iowa?” The most popular answer? β€œAll are equally good.”

My latest, via @mprnews.org, seeks to answer the question:

I'm starting to plan the questions for our second Strength In Numbers/Verasight survey, coming mid-June.

We want the poll to be collaborative and transparent, to increase trust in polling and help people understand the full process behind polls.

New poll: Americans oppose cuts to Medicaid, want Democrats to control the U.S. House ...and Kamala Harris leads Donald Trump in a hypothetical 2024 rematch. Results from the inaugural Strength In Numbers/Verasight poll

NEW Strength In Numbers/Verasight poll out this AM. We find cuts to Medicaid deeply unpopular (58% oppose to 14%), Trump underwater on most issues (-16 net approval), Democrats ahead on the generic ballot by 6 points, and Harris leading a 2024 rematch
