One of the last wishes of Pope Francis. Turn my Pope Mobile into a clinic for Gazan children:

Of course. Who doesnโt hate the truth?

The rich want to start hanging the sons of the poor in public squares? Do these people think they are operating outside of history? Russian & French nobility possibly thought the same.
But I donโt know, these guys are all religious extremists so they are more like the Taliban than Marie Antoinette
Trumpโs Security Strategy basically states his intention to destroy the EU and effect bayonet free regime change in every European country except Hungary because EU democratic liberalism is not consistent with Trumpism. I for one appreciate the honesty. Time for our leaders to get real.

10.12.2025 12:27 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Well we donโt really disagree since Iโd probably vote for just about any candidate that kept MAGA out & will be voting any way I can to keep Reform out in the UK.
All that said Republican willingness to always vote without thought is the reason MAGA has been able to eat their party from the inside
So - direct question. If AOC was the candidate would you vote for her.
10.12.2025 11:41 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 0He did yes. He WON despite being a Muslim and despite all the nonsense about socialism.
10.12.2025 11:40 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yep they did, because democrats would rather castigate the young than win them over. MTG is about to repackage herself to offer young people a lie that young people will fall for in 2028. Sheโs not fussed by all the videos of her crazy behavior. If you canโt listen then you wonโt win
10.12.2025 11:39 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Bernie was and is extremely popular. If Clinton hadnโt been shoved forward the world might be a very different place now.
10.12.2025 11:36 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Right back at you. The Dems canโt win without the young vote. Are you saying that you would rather lose everything than provide a candidate that gives hope to the majority of young people. Wrong for thee but ok for me?
10.12.2025 11:34 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0And you seem to be doing exactly what you accuse young people of doing. My original point was that older people pointed fingers at young people for not voting with them - are you saying that you would not vote with young people but thatโs ok for you?
10.12.2025 11:32 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Way to seek to shut other views down with a silly argument. I โlikeโ AOC because she completely represents my political views. Iโd not be voting because Iโm British. But young people that do want to vote for her would be voting to have the same social democratic system shared by most of Europe
10.12.2025 11:30 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0If they feel that there is a future for them they will vote. Look at how the right has been able to capture the votes of angry young men. Liberal and left parties need to win votes with a better social contact
10.12.2025 07:37 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I donโt entirely agree. The reality (in the UK and much of Northern Europe at least) is that young people feel trapped & hopeless. โWhatโs the pointโ is their feeling about politics. Wealth and power is consolidated in the hands of the same people now demanding to know why young people arenโt voting
10.12.2025 07:35 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Not even Iran, China or Russia control visitors in that way.
Plenty other countries for us to visit โฆ Canada might need to build more hotels.
Correct. But we (middle age and older voters) canโt criticize young people for not voting on our candidates then give ourselves a free pass for refusing to vote for the candidates that young people want. Easy for me to say. I would always have wanted people like Bernie Sanders and AOC.
10.12.2025 06:50 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Surely the law should be the law - regardless of who is in power.
Would it not be better for judges to be chosen by their peers, ideally in honour of outstanding performance? And for a clear distinction to be drawn between legal and political power?
Maybe not possible in the US
People may wish to (politely) write to the Archdiocese of Boston to express their views about that order?
09.12.2025 18:22 โ ๐ 11 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0And they work
The sugar boycott was a major anti-slavery tactic in 18th/19th century Britain.
Spearheaded by Quakers & abolitionists, the campaign sig reduced sugar sales, raised public awareness, & influenced the eventual passing of the 1807 Slave Trade Act
www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/gui...
Boycotts - the hammer of democratic people.
The term BOYCOTT originated in Ireland in 1880, named after Captain Boycott, land agent who was ostracized by his community (workers, shopkeepers, postman) for unfair rents & evicting tenants. Led to his total social & economic isolation.
Maybe instead of asking young people to suck up their ethics and vote for something they didnโt believe in, older voters will have to shove down their fear and suspicion and vote with the young in 2028
09.12.2025 17:11 โ ๐ 36 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Food cost will be the thing that brings MAGA down. In 2007/8 there were riots all across the globe because the price of soy went up enough that workers could no longer feed their children. When a man has to see his family go hungry EVERY other belief falls away

Wow, itโs around ยฃ1.50 - ยฃ2.50 here ($2-3).
I canโt imagine how families with small children are managing.
That comment wasnโt patronizing to social care workers. Itโs pretty much how everyone feels. Grasping at straws with that Joe.
09.12.2025 08:16 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0For a box of cereal! Is it made of pure gold with diamond filling?
Prices have really gone up in the Uk but a family size box of cereal costs arround ยฃ4 (approx $5.30). And the sizes appear to be the same (18oz)
And at the same time your farmers canโt sell grain?
What happened to Caligula in the end โฆ Trump might not want to keep his friends too close
