I find bitcoin ironic, it was necessary to force digitization of pre-existing monetary systems, but it’s just an asset that digitally fakes scarcity and has no utility beyond that. Near term I’m bullish on web3 and DeFi. But long-term, I don’t see bitcoin keeping up with the rest of the ecosystem.

I always figured Trump wouldn’t last long bc the real goal was to install JD for Thiel & his billionaire buddies. But it’s hard to talk about them critically. For one thing they invest a ton of money that wets the palate of every major tech fanboy or girl.

I’ve said it before but reading all the medieval history books I’ve been reading lately has been so comforting. Makes you realize that there have always been mad and incompetent kings and they almost always die in ignominy and everyone piles shit on them for centuries after they’re gone.

So why not do it with our work? Working in the wellbeing economy is a mindset at first. Then it clicks. You’re building resilience and resistance to the systems that keep us from enjoying abundance.

That kind of thinking is feeble and antiquated. We’re in the knowledge age. We can redesign anything to be better - but we have to find agreement on what better is. Since our government is incapable of creating anything but division and disfunction, we have to do it on our own.

We have to change the way we engage with resources. Our relationship to our environment, or everything that isn’t human, gives back more than we put in. But like a toxic relationship that cycle cannot last forever. It’s time to breakup with the idea that growth is good and nothing else can match it
