Kansas Invalidates Transgender People’s IDs After GOP Legislature Passes New Law The law, which goes into effect on Thursday, provides no grace period for the people it affects.

Transgender residents of Kansas have received letters informing them that a new state law requires them to forfeit their driver’s licenses if they include a gender marking that doesn’t match the sex identity they were assigned at birth.

This was a truly horrifically bad article. Yes, there were Jewish connections, but the framing makes it sound like that was his *main* access to power.

And no, that was not the case. He used every avenue possible, and there were many.

In this environment this article is dangerous and misguided.

An official letter from the Kansas Division of Vehicles dated February 23, 2026, with a redacted recipient address. The letter notifies the recipient that due to the enactment of Senate Bill 244, all Kansas driver's licenses and IDs must reflect the holder's sex at birth. It states that the recipient's current credential will become invalid immediately upon the law's publication on February 26, 2026, with no grace period. The recipient is directed to surrender their current ID to receive a new one matching their sex assigned at birth. The document concludes with instructions on how to appeal the notice if received in error, along with contact information for the department.

Kansas is sending letters to trans people telling them that their licenses will be revoked as of tomorrow and that they risk arrest for driving on a suspended license.

This is pure cruelty.

Folks feeling pretty good after the first day of arguments in the Prairieland trial! The prosecution's opening arguments were long and meandering. Importantly, they spent a lot of time talking about political beliefs and first amendment activities as evidence of their fantastical conspiracy.

Last week's phone zap WORKED! The 9 defendants @ Tarrant County Jail got tablets for communication & reading, & were moved to cells w/ working showers. But they're still suffering horrible treatment @ Tarrant, where they were moved Feb 9 for federal trial.

‼️ However, the live stream cut *right as* Judge Pittman was listing which jurors were being picked at 4:29 pm! We could not see the jury!

This is the whole point of voir dire: To know the jury pool. The public could not see the jury pool. ‼️

Prairieland livestream is back at 4:43 pm, out from 4:29-4:43 pm—14 minutes during jury selection! The 12 jurors & 2 alternates are already sitting and in the middle of getting instructions from the judge about the trial. The public completely missed who was the final pick.

Trump's "defeat" on tariffs is an attempt to make his regime sustainable. Tariffs will fully collapse the economy and thereby finish the administration off. The Supreme Court isnt going against his agenda, theyre trying to shape it for more capitalists and protect it from its own worst tendencies

Those who oppose fascism today do so at great personal risk. We know more lives will be lost in the coming year, but Bob Sheldon's death shows us that the spirit of liberation cannot be killed. Long live I-Books! His memory is a blessing ❤️‍🔥

1. My newest Anti-Trans Legal Risk Map is here.

For trans adults, Kansas is the newest "Do Not Travel" warning, only the 3rd state to achieve that warning.

For youth, a change to the map increases risk to Medium in many states.

Nationwide risk remains extreme.

To all the people defending Mamdani's supposedly kinder, gentler encampment sweeps:

Taking away people's agency and destroying their belongings is violent, whether it's cops or social workers doing it.

*And* Mamdani himself said that cops will still be involved, as "observers."

He is also cutting opening statements down to 8 minutes.

The largest federal prison in the nation is Fort Dix, which has a rated capacity of 4,600 people. The largest of these warehouse camps may hold more than twice that number of people.

The federal government hasn't operated a prison camp inside the United States that large since Japanese Internment.
