My second shawl is washed, blocked, and dried. I am amazed at how squishy, soft, and drapey the fabric is after blocking. The photo doesn't even begin to capture the vibrant hot pink 🩷🧶 #knitsky

I'm splashing headfirst into assigned pooling yarn! This pattern is the perfect amount of simple and fun to work while listening to a podcast or audiobook. "Do the fun stitch when you hit the contrast color" is so delightful and makes the project fly. Can't wait to see how this blocks out. 🧶

Front half a sweater, pattern is bows and braids by anxious girl knits. Yarn is cumulous by Juniper Moon Farms, a super squishy cotton. I've had a dream sweater stuck in my head since I saw a grad student wearing it in the math office my junior year. I'm trying to find the perfect pattern and yarn combination to recreate the chunky, cabled, short sleeve sweater. Does anyone have any other cabled sweater patterns to recommend?

Finished knitting the front of my sweater today. Winding up yarn to start the back has been more meditative than the cabling. The cumulous yarn is so fluffy, and it tugs at something nostalgic I can't quite name.

I'm pretty sure this is going to be too short, but we'll see what blocking can do!

Knitting up the pieces of 8 mittens with Huasco Sock Twilight Paints yarn by araucania, color peacock. Sequin yarn has been worked together with stitches creating two shiny swirly stripes.

The tiny human is happy with the sequins and the color. That is all that matters.

I can't wait to knit these again in the galaxy color I picked for myself, sans sequins. 🧶

Two inches of toe up sock knit in a lilac sock yarn over hot pink double pointed needles sits on top of the cake in a ceramic yarn bowl. I can't quit socks after decades of abandoning then halfway through. I think I just hated acrylic sock yarn, cause wool works up so nice.

Does anyone else struggle to practice mindfulness while knitting instead of speeding along at a frantic pace?

I'm in love with the Laines Du Nord watercolor sock yarn. Knowing the white strand in the middle marks the start of sock two helped me get closer to making a twin pair, though a sprinkling of errors made sure these are still siblings at best, cousins most realistically.

I hear blocking is magic. Does anyone know if it will untwist the stitches at the toe or close the holes along the heel? Exactly how much magic are we talking? ✨🧶

Second pair of a knit sock with several stitch markers noting progress so I don't have to keep counting up from row zero as I try to make a twin sock and not a cousin.

It took me a second pair to figure out but the watercolor sock yarn by Laines Du Nord has a stretch of white in the middle to mark where to start the second one to make an identical pair. The more you know!

Sock worked toe up on double pointed needles with several stitch markers counting rows. Yarn is watercolor sock by Laines Du Nord color 101. Everyone in the house is sick so I'm slowly but surely finishing the rubbing of this anklet while tending to the kiddos. I've got a large stock pot of veggie scraps and bones simmering, so at least dinner is sorted. ❤️

I tried a German short row heel this time. I love the shape. Are the stitches along the gusset supposed to be raised up like this, or am I twisting stitches?

JoansGarden pattern Stranded Honeycomb Beanie worked with lilac bloom and secret garden by Dream in Color. This project is going too quickly. I love these colors and this pattern. The texture of the yarn is so squishy and yummy.

Smaller needles obtained and honeycomb stitch is taking shape. Hubby insists he sees an Eldritch horror in the cone flower. 🌼🦹🦑

I just realized this is my first fair isle project AND my first knit hat. All previous hats have been crocheted. I think everyone is getting a knit hat for Xmas. 🧶

The third flower in the pattern repeat holds the majority of the mistakes purposefully placed so my soul can escape the work. Yes, that's it. Purposeful mistakes!

Stranded work is done! Next, I need to go buy smaller circular needles cause of course I grabbed smaller double points and not the circs I needed. I can't wait to see how the honeycomb looks! 🧶🐝🌼 #showmeyourknits
