04.08.2025 17:33 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0There are significant problems with the way that sexual violence is dealt with in the criminal justice system.
There is chronic underreporting.
Investigations take years.
The court backlog means several more years before a trial.
Complainants give up.
Prosecutions collapse.
These problems require considered, intelligent solutions.
Any “tough on crime” policy which does not have this as its centrepiece is a distraction.
A con.
Don’t let con artists and hatemongers distract from the real issues.
I prosecute and defend the most serious sexual offences in our courts.
The overwhelming majority of offenders are British-born. Overwhelmingly the victim is someone known to them, either a partner or relative.
Anybody purporting to care about protecting women might start there.
No, charging VAT on private healthcare is not a re-run of the VAT/education debate.
It wouldn't just impact 5% of the population - everyone who sees a private dentist/optician would pay more.
And it wouldn't raise £2bn. Plausibly it would lose money.

I think you'll find that's Keir Starmer's party, Rachel.
Anyway, it certainly isn't the Labour Party of Keir Hardie, and it absolutely deserves to fail.
For thousands of years, we have been parasitised, exploited and destroyed by elites. Our survival depends on overthrowing them.

We wanted change - and this is what we got. Labour will leave Government, after only one term, having achieved nothing beyond delivering the country to Reform

He doesn’t want Jews to die. He just wants food to eat, a shelter to live in, and to live his life, peacefully. 😡😡😡

But yes if instead it means stopping the corruption of billionaires on their yachts.
Can the UK govt can do more on Israel? Other than a position on principle some may suggest a complete arms ban? One f35 component can contribute to a war crime. Sanctions on Israel? How many IDF personnel are trained in UK? Do RAF share intelligence? Are govt receiving funding from Israel lobbies?
