The Babysitters Coven by Kate Williams was a super fun audiobook! Basically a babysitter finds out she's got a BTVS thing going on. The story had a lot of fun little references and I think the reason I enjoyed it so much is because it's exactly the kind of book I would have been obsessed with at 15.

Finished Burn out Bodies Down by Rory Power tonight. Ngl, I picked it up solely because it's a horror set in rural western Nebraska lol. It was good! A slow burn for real but once we got into the climax it was balls to the wall. Definitely an allegory for passing down abuse in families.

Hmm... listened to Something in the Walls by Daisy Pearce and it was unfortunately pretty mid for my tastes. I think there was a lot going on, but each payout along the way kinda fell flat. It did keep me entertained at work so it gets points for that lol.

Was feeling a romance tonight and D'Vaughn & Kris Plan a Wedding by Chencia C Higgins did not disappoint. Fell in love with the characters immediately and I do love the fake dating trope immensely so this one was right up my alley.

Did not expect to plow through two books today, but picked up The Mysterious Disappearance of Aiden S by David Levithan to start it and I ended up getting sucked in and it's a middle grade book so a short read about a boy who went to another world and then came back and how everyones coping with it

Absolutely one-shotted Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Bayron today. Amazing, heart wrenching, could not put it down, and absolutely relevant to what's happening right now.

Just finished Roll for Love by MK England and it was a super cute easy read. I have a massive soft spot for small town queer folk finding themselves (and each other) and I love D&D so this book really hit 💖 "You can work through things in a fictional world that feel too dangerous for reality." 💖

Tonight's book was Sleep Tight by JH Markert. This one was a fun thriller, I definitely wasn't sure where it was going, and the best way to keep me awake at work is trying to figure out the mysteries before they're revealed lol

Not gonna lie, could barely keep interested the first half of this book but kept up bc I was working overtime today and I am so glad I kept going bc around the 50% mark this book got really good. Went from basic horror cheating/lying spouse trope to interesting.

It's part one of a space opera duology (book two is out in August) I just eat up books about groups of people who all love and protect each other in space 💖

Okay, William C Tracy's The Spores of Wrath. Awesome, this is the third book and I love how the story progressed and we got to see how the characters grow. I have to applaud Adi Cabral as the narrator, they gave such life to the characters it was a joy to listen to this book.
