Perfect! Having finished 'After the Flood' series 1 (that's quite enough of that) I can safely say it is even more vapid and stupid than 'The One That Got Away'. Quite an achievement!

A great little story - most definitely of its time - but one that has a lot of humour, pace and depth. We also covered 'The Debut of Bimbashi Joyce', a companion piece that features Kitchener, and a vignette I've always thought was very well done.

Have you seen After the Flood? I have just found series 1 and it has a Stockholm Syndrome shiteness about it. At end of ep 1 and they are all dumb as rocks.

Jess, and have Stephen brazen it out tomorrow. Then murder Matt for being a tosser. But I suspect they’ve gone for Faraaz because he won’t get banished.

I reckon Fiona, Faraaz or Ellie for Secret Traitor. But suspicious of Harriet too. I don’t think I’d be very good on the show if I’m this indecisive at home!

Well, you definitely found the right path. Fusing the story of the Institute with the wider political history works really well. I was very surprised how progressive much of the early thinking was, especially considering where we are now. Kudos to you.

I have just (I mean ten minutes ago...) finished INTERMEDIARIES by @bschillace.brandyschillace.com and it's a fascinating read. An astonishing hidden history that reveals just how far thinking had progressed by the 1930s and how far we still have to go. A beautifully written and important book.
