Yeah like I get the attraction to the big noir stylisation and the casting was fun, but it was SO LONG. I don't remember much from it as it was a while ago I saw it, but I think that's kinda it, like nothing stood out to me other than it was long and a general mess of pacing/story/character etc

Exactly!! it's the expression of something which is what makes it interesting, even if the execution or articulation isn't smooth or even "good", even if it's shallow! The point is someone put a measure of time and friction into something, trying to capture something, anything! Art is awesome!!

one weird positive the "age of AI" has had on me, it's opened my heart even wider to the stunning artistry of people, I see a painting study like this and my mouth is just open, seeing all the little stylistic decisions, all the physical energy and movement in the mark making.
