i had never played Strange Horticulture but i picked Strange Antiquities up and it SLAPS. it fully consumed my brain until i finished it, at which point i immediately went and got Strange Horticulture and blew through that too. ty @marioprime.bsky.social for this!

The funny part is that there is plenty of room to interpret the thing as having surprisingly okay politics if you really want to get into where the story goes. But it's so dumb that it basically just functions as a Rorschach test for whatever you want it to mean. So, yeah, exactly.

Played Battlefield 6's campaign and I truly think it's too dumb to get mad about in any real way. If you try to dissect the politics of the thing, you will die instantly.

A) What does the death in a beatem up mean ?
B) Does using a genre that creates incentive for modern players to do multiple runs work better than the vintage design conventions?
