As I said, I'm not against volunteering, I'm against the underfunding of essential services which are being propped up by volunteering. By all means volunteer if you want to but when you say everyone should do it, it's no longer voluntary.

Society should not have to "depend" on volunteering, anything that society has to depend on should be fully funded and available to all. Volunteering has let government off the hook for decades.
