Also, we pay $900 a month for family private health insurance. If I use a public hospital, they bill the insurance company, thus more money to subside the free system. if I use a private hospital, they bill the insurance company. No big deal.

Go USA!!! in Australia, where I am in the highest tax bracket, we have universal healthcare! In fact, the tax bracket I’m in means I pay extra to help fund it!! It’s a pittance though and meaningless in terms of $, I have a great, blessed life AND I help fund a basic human right! No big deal!!!
