i hear you. fatigue is caused by the feeling of powerlessness. the cure for powerlessness is action. even if its just emailing or calling your congressional delegate. It can matter.

then expand the list. i honestly believe we have a lot more in common than not. starting with (as someone in here said) dealing with the extreme wealth inequality and building an economy that works for more of us.

Don't let them trick you into thinking it's Right Vs. Left. The real fight is Haves Vs. Have-Nots. Billionaires in a world where their employees are forced to get food stamps. People want safe neighborhoods, good schools, a job that pays their bills. We (almost) all agree about that.

In today's political climate don't forget there are SO many issues the Right and Left agree on. Most Americans want: Better care for our Veterans, Better Infrastructure investment, Support for businesses featuring Science and Tech, fixing the opioid crisis and campaign finance reform.

Aliens was peak 1980's jingoistic rah rah film-making. But I still love it. Paul Reiser as the smarmy corpo rat is some-what a redemption. The whole plot of the movie revolves around the corp deliberately setting those colonists up so they could be impregnated by the Xenomorphs.
