I can't think of any specific series off the top of my head, but I'll say that there are companies that I haven't yet reached out to, who do stuff that I'd LOVE to work on, but I just don't want to deal with full replacement of sfx on flattened art when I'm already as busy as I am. Maybe someday!

I've seen Bernie wear this same winter coat probably at least ten times in photos in as many years, and I find it endearing. Always nice to have a trusty warm coat that you stick with.

Speaking of musicians I slept on too long... Tame Impala! I got "The Slow Rush" and it's gooood! I feel like I was destined to get into his music, since I love his collaborations with Thundercat and Justice, and have had several times where I Shazamed a song and it wound up being Tame Impala.

I have no idea why I slept on MF DOOM for so long, but I'm a fan now, better late than never. Picked up "MM... FOOD" a few days ago, and it's been playing on repeat. "Deep Fried Frenz", "Hoe Cakes", and "Rapp Snitch Knishes" are my faves so far.

One aspect of the resistance to upgrade or replace electronic devices that I didn't see mentioned in the article that was going around this past week, is that most devices since 2023 aren't upgrading or evolving, they're just putting AI or more cameras for no reason. Nobody wants that shit

Imagine working really hard on a creative project and giving countless hours to it, only to have the localization of your creation shat upon by unnatural-sounding AI voices with mismatched subtitles. How insulting.

Hehe, that's newer than either my desktop (I bought it off a friend in 2015, but it really has 2012 parts) and my laptop (2016), so you're doing ok! I'm of the mind that if it works, then no need to replace (and I hate being wasteful with tech) but I've been running into some issues lately.

(Sweating bullets though! Big purchases give me anxiety, even if it's one that's going to help in a lot of ways.)

Ummm, I just ended up ordering an M4 Pro Mac Mini! Got it at a good price, all-told, and on a payment plan I can handle. Thanks again for your good advice though (even though I didn't end up waiting.) Gonna be a couple weeks before the device arrives, but I'm excited to join the Mac club soon!

It's the best. Five of my all-time favorite games on one system (Super Metroid, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Zelda: A Link to the Past, Secret of Mana) plus so many more gems.

And oh man, so many good game soundtracks. I love the sound of that system.

It's only been three months since Anime NYC, but I want more. Been there twice so far and had so much fun! Hoping I can go next year too. Just really nice to catch up with my manga buddies & meet new people, take photos of cool cosplay, buy stickers for my journal, and walk around New York.

Well, I for one loved it! I haven’t yet been let down by an Edgar Wright movie. I haven’t read the novel, and maybe I’d feel different if I had, but I just enjoyed the new film as its own thing.
