Audiobooks are crazy expensive to buy, but most libraries participate in digital library services (one called Hoopla and one called Libby) & you can get audiobooks for free!

We recently joined our local library when we heard about it & have really enjoyed audiobooks!

Haha I totally get it! I tried to do the books again a few years back and fell off as well. I'm doing the audiobook (yay library!) narrated by Andy Serkis (Gollum's actor) and that's been a blast so far!

I'm re-reading Lord of the Rings for the first time in a LONG time and it's been *REALLY* interesting to note the differences between the films and the books since I've seen the films dozens of times.

Our first Sanderson book!

The Frugal Wizard's Handbook for Surviving Medieval England was a blast! The story pulls you in quickly & the premise is a neat twist on popular tropes. Pacing was a bit end-heavy, but Pixy and I didn't mind because it was so fun.

REALLY enjoyed adding "skill challenges" to overland travel during D&D yesterday! They add variety beyond social & combat encounters + PCs used untouched spells/skills

Difficult terrain, inclimate weather, equipment failure, hunting/gathering, & navigation

What have you thought of it so far? We were curious about this game when it was announced, but completely forgot about it.

The trick is to plan broadly.

Often, "what will this NPC say to the PCs after the party does this one specific thing" will be unusable.

Things like, "how do people of this culture generally respond to disrespect?" have much more likelihood of being useful in a pinch.

I'm quite certain that you don't have to worry about that happening. 🥸

Indeed! I was really impressed. None of my games were even particularly close. The recursion is super strong in limited against this set's removal.

FINALLY got a 7-win draft in Tarkir: Dragonstorm!

Failed to make Mardu work like 4 times now, but Abzan crushed on the first try!
