I got a rainbow colored pill organizer and I swear it makes pill time so much happier. Just seeing it makes me smile.

Now I’m realizing that makes me sound super old.

I spent my morning with this guy, then swapping whale watch stories with a naturalist. Trying to hold onto any little bits of joy I come across. (Now to figure out how to edit underwater photos…)

I got mine vaccinated at a CVS. Just a week or two ago.

I snapped this on Monday. Absolutely stunning day.

As a former horse girl who loves a sweater, I am a-ok with this trend.

As the king of all things SoCal Haunts, is there a particular one you could recommend for a brave almost 10 year old who likes a good scare but has never been to an event like this before? I hate all things scary but my husband likes extremely scary so we have no idea where to start.

Can we stop at the book store along the way?

We have two and they don't have the slightest bit of attitude. They spend their days snoozing on quilts and taking on neighborhood watch duty. One follows me around the house and jumps in my lap the moment I sit, and at night at least one of them sleeps pressed up against my stomach.

And just a fraction of the price.

We have passes since I have a 9 year old and we live 20 minutes away. I will not be going between now and the expiration date and I certainly will not be renewing.

We have park passes and cancelled all upcoming visits. Even if entry is free I don’t want to pay them for parking or food.

I’ve been lucky enough to see them a few times now. Benefit of living a 15 minute drive from Newport Beach.

And Newport Coastal Adventures is the very best in the business! I saw this notification come across my IG this morning and was sooooo tempted. Too bad I have to fetch my kid after school today and can’t make the time work.

I was supposed to get one Thursday. Had an unusual mammogram result so had to push back a week. Now I have to have a bunch of further tests and was told to push it back again. Arg!

I was supposed to get mine this morning, but now I need to get a repeat mammogram tomorrow afternoon so had to reschedule the vaccine apt. Not super happy right now…

I just audibly squealed so loudly my cat jumped off the couch.

I feel so incredibly lucky that I fell in with a great group of knitters when I picked it up again about 15 years ago. I have tons of people I can bounce ideas off of and I feel no need to follow any influencers or see content that is incredibly annoying.

That one night when there was an announcement every half hour or so that someone else had it - pure twitter gold that night. I remember cackling so much my throat hurt the next day.

Amazing. I need to get up to the Northwest to see orcas in action. It’s been over a year since they were hanging out in SoCal and that’s far far too long.

Oohhhh, where was this? This year I got to watch humpbacks off Hawaii in February and off Newport Beach in June. Some of the most fun whales to watch!

My husband got me to watch the show. First episode I was like meh and mostly scrolled on my phone. By the third episode I was riveted and by the fourth I found myself loading all the books onto my ereader. At one point I was pumping gas while reading, just to fit in one more page.

I was going to, but all my local pharmacies have made covid vaccine appointments unavailable ahead of the pending CDC approval for the 2025 version. I'm kicking myself for not getting the old version last week.

I think Dixon can be beat! I’m in Cottie’s district so can’t vote for you but I will happily throw a donation your way.

I keep changing my clothes so there’s less and less fabric touching skin.
