The picture shows white words on a purple background styled as a skyscraper, with a design which hints at an inverted cross and the greek 'omega' character whihc glows red. The blurb reads as follows: Decipher an impossible mystery dripping with wry corporate satire in this unputdownable story of pride, ambition, and the boundaries of science pushed far too far... Silicon Valley, Thursday, mid-morning: The ordinarily busy headquarters of Big Pharma giant Celestium is found completely empty, its entire workforce apparently vanished into thin air, leaving behind an eerie 'ghostscraper' and a baffling puzzle for the Silicon Valley Police. Days later, a mysterious disc is delivered anonymously to the SVPD which appears to contain evidence related to the case. Company classified material revealing Machiavellian schemes, unholy experiments, and shocking incidents which took place within the walls of that ill-fated building during the final few months of Celestium's existence. Who sent the disc and what are their motives? What exactly was going on in Celestium's secret underground labs? And what could have caused more than 500 employees to simply disappear without trace? Omega Substance is a bitterly satirical mystery thriller that explores whether even eldritch, unknowable evil can be a match for the ruthlessness of modern corporate culture. This standalone book requires no further reading to enjoy.

a fluffy black orb like a soot sprite is sitting on a white floor. thereβs a small crescent shape of white right in the middle, with a black round spot centered within it. at first glance, it has the appearance of a single eyeball floating in the middle of the void. at second glance, it still looks like that. but maybe on third examination, itβs clearer that the white is from a dogβs little snout, and the black in the middle is the dogβs nose, and any other distinguishing feature like eyes, ears, and paws are absorbed into the black void.
an exceedingly fluffy black dog stands expectantly on the floor and looks up at a little kid in a high chair who presumably has snacks to share. the little bit of white on the dogβs nose and their pink tongue is the only interruption in the otherwise endless sea of darkness. but at least from this angle, they have a more defined body and tiny feet, so sheβs a little less βorbβ and a little more βdog.β
We only rate dogs. This is the goth cousin of Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc. Please understand it's not just a phase, and only send dogs. Thank you⦠12/10 (credit u/vincidelaunc)
