Excited to present the GoFreshRx trial at the ACC Scientific Sessions on Sat 3/28. GoFreshRx focuses on groceries and blood pressure among adults who are treated for hypertension. It is a complement to GoFresh (adults without hypertension):

For anyone struggling to find their publications on the new NIH biosketch (sciencv) -> I found them under the ORCID tab. Need to check both the my bibliography and orcid tab to find your publications.

This neat study simultaneously compared two validated home devices in 121 adults, finding notable discordance. Wrist was higher and less precise than upper arm...I'm curious about potential causes of discordance (like tronco-conical arm shape).

Great meta-analysis on deprescribing among older adults for your archives, looking at cardiovascular and hypotensive (falls, OH) endpoints.
Not surprisingly most pooled analyses favor continuation (strongest heart failure), but also suggestive for falls, death.

So true... Probably the most important item in a research study. It frames everything.

It's tricky: different clinical objectives (evolving acute clinical status vs chronic dz management) with BP as a vital sign vs HTN target being mixed together with distinct treatments (IV and oral) informed by studies that used hospital complications (an outcome of interest) as an exclusion.

Saying the product of the kidneys is urine is like saying the product of a factory is pollution. Urine is a by-product. The product is homeostasis.
